Neuronox is currently available in 23 different countries under numerous brand names (Botulift®, Siax®, Cunox®, and Meditoxin®). It developed under stringent manufacturing practices of Medytox, a global biopharmaceutical company located in South Korea. Medytox is known to be the first in Korea to develop the BoNT/A product. Neuronox contains Clostridium botulinum type A Hall hyper which is a hypertoxin producer that creates many high-quality toxins in a simple growth medium and it is the strain best suited for use in treating spasticity. This strain of clostridium botulinum is characterized by its fast production, higher toxicity (producing toxins with the highest potency over the same period) and hyper-toxigenic strain. 

Neuronox has proven to be safe and effective for improving glabellar frown lines according to double-blind, randomized clinical trial by Medytox. Neuronox is approved for both cosmetic and therapeutic uses. It especially temporarily improves moderate to severe facial wrinkles and reduces the uncontrolled activity facial muscles and certain parts of the body. Aesthetically, Neuronox can treat multiple skin imperfections, aside from forehead lines and glabellar frown lines, it can reduce crow’s feet, necklines, perioral wrinkles, bunny lines around the line and cobbled chin. Once injected into the muscle, the botulinum toxin works by blocking nerve impulses and then reduces the muscle activity that causes facial wrinkles. STRENGTHS AND INDICATIONS

1. It is indicated for the treatment of benign essential blepharospasm.
2. It produces temporary improvement for serious glabellar wrinkles ranging from moderate to severe.
3. It also treats spasticity in pediatric cerebral palsy that can cause equinos foot deformities. 
4. It is primarily indicated for muscle spasticity, especially in the treatment of the upper limbs associated with stroke.

APPLICATION SITE

It is important to note that Neuronox is a potent substance used for medical and cosmetic purposes by medical professionals ONLY. DURATION OF EFFECT

Neuronox displays immediate outcomes where initial effects are seen within 1 to 4 days and peaks at 1 to 2 weeks post treatment. Effects lasts approximately 3 to 6 months, following which the procedure can be repeated. However, duration of effects may differ depending on the individual and the treatment method.

PACKAGING AND SPECIFICATIONS

Packaging: Neuronox is available in 50-, 100-, and 200-units vials (1vial/box) 

Product appearance: Neuronox appears a lyophilized white powder for injection in a colorless transparent vial.

Reconstitution: Neuronox is reconstituted with 0.9% sodium chloride solution and mixed properly by gently rotating the vial.

Method of administration: Intramuscular injection

Recommended usage: Each patient must be injected with a dose that is tailored to their needs based on the condition treated, the size and location of treatment area, and the severity of the spasticity. Generally, an injection volume of approximately 0.05mL – 0.1mL per injection site is recommended and not more than 200U of Neuronox must be used for each patient at a time.  

Treatment interval: Recommended interval between treatments should not be sooner than 12 weeks or when the effect of the previous injection has diminished. However, it is always best to consult a doctor for when the next appropriate treatment schedule for a Neuronox injection is.  

Needle size: 24 ~ 30G

Storage: Neuronox vials can be stored below 5°C or at the refrigerator (2-8°C). After reconstitution, the product should be stored in a refrigerator (2-8°C) and administered within 24 hours.
